Use Cases
Inertia Wheels firmware V1.0.1 is an early-release beta firmware. It is primarily available for the following use cases:
Using the Third Axis
Using eMotimo ST4
Developing Virtual Production Tools
Using the Training game
Using Ronin 1, M, MX
For customers looking to work on-set with MōVI Pro/Ronin 2, we suggest using V0.3.1 firmware.
Notice for Mac users
If you have had trouble updating, we have more knowledge to help you.
Thanks to the efforts of a few customers’ we have found a few more driver conflicts on mac and now have more tools to help remove those conflicts.
Notice for Windows Users
We have discovered that some PC hardware can be problematic to perform updates and/or receive data over USB. Particularly, it seems like some desktop computers may have more trouble than laptops. There appears to be no risk of damaging the hardware either of the PC or the Inertia Wheels.

Updater App
For macOS users, the app now has a driver scan under Advanced > Driver Scan.
You can copy and paste this text and email it to us to help us troubleshoot potentially conflicting drivers.
Bug Fixes
System-wide stability improvements
Fixed a bug with Third Axis where packets per second would drop to ~60.
Fixed a bug where motors would fail to update

Power off must now be held for 5 seconds to turn off
New style of alert pop-up
New System Report screen under System > System Report
This screen will show you what the “i” icon means.
New Effects Dashboard
This is still a work in progress.
Reset does not work yet
Windows for pan/tilt/roll do not work yet.
When you open a menu item to change it, “Set” is now button 3, “Cancel” is now button 4. This is to keep button 4 consistent as a back/cancel key.
