Notice: M1 Mac Users Experiencing RX Update Failure
Some users may experience an issue updating their Receivers on an M1 Mac. The primary symptom is that the Inertia Wheels will be able to update, but the Receiver will fail. The issue is limited to certain units and certain computer models.
If you experience this issue, please contact support by using Help > Chat with Support. We will officially diagnose the issue and provide a resolution.
Firmware Release
Inertia Wheels Firmware V2.2.2
Notice: Movi Pro/XL Users
Movi Pro/XL users should plug the wheels into COM1. COM2 does not work properly with the Inertial Algorithm and may lead to the control signal dropping out.
Changes from 2.0.2
This is a major release since 2.0.2 with bug fixes across a variety of systems, primarily focused on wireless signal integrity and system stability.
All Changes
Wireless Bug Fixes
With interference, Receiver could reboot or output garbage data due to packet corruption. This has been fixed.
Issues would arise with higher probability at long range or in the presence of active interference.
Symptoms of these bugs:
MōVI XL/Pro could jitter or recenter due to packet timing. This has been fixed.
Ronin 2 could freeze. This has been fixed.
Wireless Improvements
New Wireless LOS (“Loss of Signal”) Handling: Inertial Algorithm
Dynamic/adaptive algorithm that monitors signal integrity and always generates a smooth output of the lowest latency possible.
Generates a real-time, self-tuning simulation of the wheels locally in the Receiver.
Receiver outputs at 200Hz always—even in 50 PPS Range mode—which is excellent for tightly tuned gimbals.
Takes ~10 seconds after linking to self-tune.
Classic LOS Bridging has been improved and fixed an error that could cause a jitter in the MōVI.
NEW Wireless > Wireless Report enables logging of wireless activity with a Reset which enables Head Techs to view past activity since last reset.
IW API
AUX Port now supports Effects and Pan Drift Compensation
General Fixes
Small wheel movements could have been ignored at slow speed ratios on the Third Axis. This has been fixed.
MAX Changes
Motors > MAX Torque now allows users to select the maximum torque on MAX motors. Higher Torque can trip power suppliers or fuses in batteries and power supplies—use with caution.
Motor Driver V1.3.0 for SN 11xxx Units
Adjustable maximum torque for MAX motors.
NEW System > Motor Report which reads out motor error codes in words.
