Graham Futerfas: Inertia Wheels MAX

"I’ve been using the Inertia Wheels for several years now, and I absolutely love showing them to camera operators who’ve never seen them before. 

The main thing I’ll say about MAX is how real it feels when you use it, and how smooth it turns. I have confidence that the wheels will hold up if an operator gets aggressive. With just a little bit of mass, the wheels can feel like a well-balanced and crafted hand wheel, but the whole unit itself is so much lighter than other options out there.  

I’ve recently worked with one camera operator who had a tricky shot—very slow—and I suggested to him to try more mass to see if it would help. He loved it. Instead of just being able to change the speed setting, there were a couple of other parameters that could be employed to improve his work. 

As an artist, I think he sincerely appreciated how the equipment could be dialed in to work creatively for him."
