Notice: M1 Mac Users Experiencing RX Update Failure

Some users may experience an issue updating their Receivers on an M1 Mac. The primary symptom is that the Inertia Wheels will be able to update, but the Receiver will fail. The issue is limited to certain units and certain computer models.

If you experience this issue, please contact support by using Help > Chat with Support. We will officially diagnose the issue and provide a resolution.

Changes from 2.0.1

In firmware version 2.0.0 and 2.0.1, on wheels with High Current PCBs (like those found in MAX wheels or SN’s >= 11000), the motor driver and the wheels could have communication errors that result in gaps in the signal or glitches in the camera position that result in a jump or pause in gimbal movement. This has been resolved.

  • Output > Signal Path > AUX RS-485 is now bi-directional and supports API data population in the Inertia Wheels Output Menu.

  • Tilt Speed now populates properly for API application that utilize that data.

General Fixes

  • Small wheel movements could have been ignored at slow speed ratios. This has been fixed.

  • MAX LED brightness now saves between reboots.

  • Auto reset enabled for discovered error codes when MAX wheels slip.

Motor Driver V1.0.0 for SN 11xxx Units - BETA

  • Motor driver update fixes bug where after multiple rotations some stuttering could be felt in the motors.

  • Motor driver is ready for MAX Wheel upgrades.

Downloadable Moves - BETA

  • You can now download and upload recorded camera moves from the the receiver using the MOCO menu of the IW Update App.
